Excellent News for Graz on the International Congress Ranking: Position 86 Worldwide – Initiatives that Paid off for the ‘messe congress|graz’

The current ranking published by the International Congress & Convention Association is exceptionally good news for the messe congress|graz, as it places the Styrian capital at rank 86, a noticeable improvement over the year 2007 when Graz found itself in 126th position.

“On the one hand, we are, of course, terribly excited that our efforts of the past years have shown results in making Graz a more desirable congress centre,” comments Managing Director Ingrid Marsoner Pichler, “and on the other hand, we are very proud that we have been able to noticeably increase our lead on other national competitors, except Vienna.” In other words, Innsbruck is placed 128th in the ICCA ranking, Salzburg 202nd and Linz 234th.

With 18 ranking points, Graz finds itself at position 86 which it shares with the illustrious company of Adelaide, Brisbane, Liverpool, Marseille, Orlando, Riga and San Francisco, followed by Basel, Bologna, Quito, Uppsala and Venice who jointly hold position 94.

The ranking is led by Vienna, which for the first time in three years has to share 1st position with Paris, followed by Barcelona which ranks 3rd.

In the country ranking, the USA lead clearly ahead of Germany and Spain, while Austria takes 12th position.
