Messe Congress Graz
Graz can proudly reflect on a long tradition as an exhibition venue – Austria’s first ever exhibition, the 1833 Flower and Industry Show, took place in the Styrian capital and marked the opening chapter of an enduring success story.
Starting in 1906, the Graz fair established itself as a key venue for the presentation of prototypes and products, paving the way for the growth of Austria’s largest and most popular public exhibition location. In the 20th century, up to the fall of the Iron Curtain, the Graz fair played a vital role in East-West relations and thanks to its position at the heart of the expanding European Union has continued to act as a springboard for moves into South Eastern Europe.
The inauguration of the Stadthalle Graz in 2002 added a significant amount of exhibition space and an architecturally eye-catching, multi-purpose venue ideally suited to events of all types.
congress+event|graz has worked together with a host of big international names from the worlds of the arts, sport, science and business, ranging from Linkin Park to the Spanish Riding School and a series of international conferences.
The integration of Graz’s largest event locations represents another milestone in our development. congress|graz in the old town, messe|congress at the Stadthalle, stadthalle|graz, messe|graz, the UPC Arena and eishalle|graz have been united under the Messe Congress Graz brand since 2007.
