Fans of classics and sciences – there’s room for everyone
One special claim to fame for Congress Graz is that it once hosted an imperial crown prince and his wife. 120 years ago the Stefaniensaal hall was opened in the presence of the heirs to the throne, who were thrilled by the astounding acoustics that have continued to enchant guests ever since.
Stefaniesaal has remained a place for musical performances to this day and is a venue where solo and orchestral concerts regularly take place. Additionally, there are numerous dance and ball events at Congress Graz, from modern and informal events to various traditional formats. This also includes highlights of the official Graz ball season such as the sumptuous "Il Ballo di Casanova" and a gay and transvestite community event called "Tuntenball".
Apart from being a venue for entertainment events, the 19 rooms of Congress Graz are frequently occupied with brainwork. There are numerous congresses at this venue throughout the year, covering a wide variety of topics. The many international participants take home positive images and impressions of the venue and of the Congress Graz neighborhood in the very heart of the historic centre of Graz.
