Our commitment to inclusion

The trade fair Congress Graz Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. (MCG) is committed to providing equal access to information, services and events for people with disabilities. We are constantly working to make both our digital presence and our event venues as accessible as possible.

Accessibility on the website

The website of Messe Congress Graz is gradually being brought into line with the requirements of the Accessibility Act (in short: Barrierefreiheitsgesetz). BaFG) and the European Accessibility Directive RL (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services (EEA).

Ongoing measures include: a.:

  • Improving readability and usability for screen reader users:inside
  • Optimising colour contrasts and font sizes
  • Keyboard navigation and focus guide
  • Structuring of content for easy orientation
  • Alternative texts for images and graphics

Accessibility in our event venues

Our locations – including the event and congress venues in Conrad-von-Hötzendorf-Straße, Congress Graz, the Merkur Arena, the Merkur Ice Stadium and the Weinzödl Sports Campus – are also being gradually optimised in terms of structural and organisational accessibility. Our measures are aimed at making the stay as pleasant as possible for all visitors.

Examples of existing or planned measures:

  • Accessible entrances and lifts
  • Disabled WC facilities
  • Reserved parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the entrances
  • Support from our local staff
  • Accessible seating areas on request

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is currently being revised to achieve full compliance with the applicable accessibility requirements. The technical Evaluation is carried out on an ongoing basis in close consultation with expertsand our internal IT department.
